Stephen Stout Stephen Stout
CEO, dmgi Asia Pacific

Stephen Stout, formerly CEO of Landmark Information Group, was appointed to a newly formed position of CEO, dmg::information Asia Pacific, in March 2013. Stephen is located in Singapore and is tasked with developing DMGI’s presence in the Asia Pacific markets

Stephen Stout was previously CEO of Landmark Information Group, to which he was appointed in May 2003

Stephen graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Banking and Finance and worked for HSBC on their graduate management scheme mainly in investment banking. He then moved to Reed Elsevier joining Lexis Nexis, the legal and tax publisher initially in sales . His time with Lexis included stints as Managing Director for Asia based in Singapore for eight years and two years as Australian Managing Director based in Sydney. In 1996, Stephen returned to London to run the Lexis UK business, which he did for five years, before joining SoftLaw, the legal expert system provider, as a shareholder and CEO Europe.

Tej Kapoor
Country Head, dmg India

Tej is Country Head for dmg India. He is responsible for Daily Mail’s organic and non-organic growth in India. He has over ten years of experience in e-commerce, media, internet and B2B information industries. Work experience in both US & Asia Pacific region.

dmg India current portfolio includes, Skymet, iProf, India Today Group (Mail Today), Mailonline.in and ad : tech India.

Before joining dmg, Tej worked with Naspers as strategy and new business development head. During his tenure at Naspers, Tej launched and managed e-commerce b2c businesses and made several investments / acquisitions for Naspers. Previously, Tej held several key positions at AOL in the United States helped AOL’s expand its presence in Asia Pacific region, including India and China.

Tej holds bachelor’s degree in Economics from Bangalore University, an MBA from Alan Shawn Feinstein Graduate School, USA and executive education from The Wharton School.  

Andy Nicol
Vice President and Country Director, India for Hobsons

Researching markets, creating business plans and setting up services from scratch, Andy is responsible for Hobson’s business strategy in Asia. This strategy combines organic growth, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships and offshoring services. Recently leading on Hobsons’ first investment in India (k12), he is now also responsible for Hobsons' broader launch of education solutions across India.  Prior to Hobsons, Andy held a number of senior international roles at a range of UK universities.   Andy recently relocated to Delhi (following a four-year stint in Malaysia) with his wife Louise and daughter, Emily.  Outside of Hobsons, Andy has a passion for international travel, enjoys catching up with friends over a beer and is an aspiring (if reluctant) runner.  After a bachelor’s degree in History and Politics, Andy studied for a master’s degree in Russian studies from Newcastle University, and more recently a master’s degree with distinction in international marketing from Strathclyde University in the UK.

Jackson Chan Jackson Chan
Business Development Director (China), dmg::information Asia Pacific

Jackson joined DMGT in April 2011 and took up the role of business development director in dmg::information Asia Pacific later in 2013 continuing his involvement in investigating potential M&A and investment opportunities for the group in Asia.

He has an international background with experience in various roles including software development, management consulting, corporate strategy and corporate development in US, Hong Kong and China.

Jackson gained an Electrical Engineering and Computer Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He has also completed the MBA program at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. ​
