Martin Morgan
Chief Executive Officer

Martin was educated in South Africa and England, gaining a BA from the University of the Witwatersrand and an MBA from the London Business School.

Early in his career, he started a student travel company while working for the student movement in South Africa. After completing his MBA in London, he joined Reed International, working as the personal assistant to the deputy chairman before moving into the media division. He held a number of managing directorships, including those of Reed's travel and medical interests, and moved to the United States.

He returned to the UK to join the Daily Mail and General Trust plc as part of the group's initiative to diversify beyond the newspaper industry.

Following a period of rapid growth in his division, coupled with an investment emphasis on the United States, in 2000 he returned to that country to run the company from US headquarters.

Martin is married with three children and lives in Greenwich, Connecticut. He enjoys sailing, tennis, golf, and fishing.


Paul Sykes
Chief Financial Officer

Paul graduated with a BSc in economics from Leicester University. After graduating he joined KPMG and gained experience in auditing and other areas of finance while qualifying for membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.

Paul then joined Emap plc, initially in the role of financial controller of the media group's magazine distribution division, then moving into a central role to develop the group's treasury function. As group treasurer he had extensive involvement in a wide range of both equity and debt raising transactions, as well as media-related acquisitions and divestments in the UK and continental Europe.

Paul joined DMG Information in 1997 and moved to the US in 2000, reflecting the investment emphasis on the US and the geographic spread of the businesses following several significant acquisitions.

He is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and the UK Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Paul is married with three children and lives in New Canaan, Connecticut.


Martha Notaras
Executive Vice President

Martha received her BA from Princeton University and her MBA from Harvard Business School, where she was a Baker Scholar.

She gained experience in commercial banking at Credit Suisse. After completing her MBA, Martha joined the investment banking group at Merrill Lynch. She then moved to Time, Inc. in a strategic financial role.

Martha joined DMG Information in the UK. Upon returning to the US in 1995, she focused on developing the company's US-based portfolio. Her focus remains business development, including acquisitions and investments, as well as working with the portfolio companies to develop their businesses internally. Martha is married with two children and lives in Pacific Palisades, California.


Bill Zola
Managing Director - Strategy and Development

Bill joined DMGI in December 2004 to focus on business development activities. In this role Bill works with the existing DMGI Companies on strategy and development, as well as identifying new investment opportunities for DMGI. Bill is a graduate of Washington and Lee University, and has an MBA from the University of Massachusetts.

Bill began his career at State Street Bank where he completed the bank’s credit training program and subsequently was on the leverage lending team. Bill left banking in 1997 to join Dorrance Street Capital Advisors, a mezzanine fund, where he spent a year providing subordinated debt with equity kicker type financing for leverage buyouts, recapitalizations, acquisitions and refinancings.

Bill then spent the next six years at Thomson Corporation, where he was a Managing Director and Executive Committee member for Thomson Financial, responsible for the company's corporate development activities including minority equity investing, M&A, JV's and divestitures. After leaving Thomson in 2003 Bill joined BlackRock, Inc., as a Managing Director in the Strategy and Development Group.

Bill is married with two children and lives in Newton, Massachusetts.


Paul M. Vogt
General Counsel

Paul received his BA (summa cum laude) in Political Science and Economics from Fordham University, and his JD from Harvard Law School.

Paul started his legal career in the Hartford office of Robinson & Cole, working in their Corporate practice group. He then spent nine years in the New York office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, making partner in the Business & Finance group in 2001. While at Morgan, Lewis, Paul advised clients on a variety of corporate and commercial matters, including complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, investments, and organizational matters. He was also responsible for the continuing legal education program for all Business & Finance attorneys across all offices of the firm.

He is admitted to practice law in Connecticut and New York.

Paul is married with two children and lives in Rye Brook, New York.


Lee Wall
Vice President, Finance

Lee received his BSc. in Mathematics from the University of Warwick in the U.K. Lee went on to work in the Audit practice of KPMG earning his qualification as a Chartered Accountant. Lee is a current member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.

After initially joining the DMGI team in the UK in April 2000, he moved to the Stamford, Connecticut headquarters in 2001. As Vice President of Finance, Lee coordinates the group’s financial and management reporting and internal controls. Lee is also actively involved in financial due diligence of our acquisitions.

Lee is married with four children and lives in New Canaan, Connecticut.
